In fact, it was.
And down here, you'd be hard pressed to find many people who wouldn't do at least as much as Dad did in this case.
Actually in the Joe Horn thread I pointed that out. I've had two separate instances where someone tried to commit a crime against me and each time I beat him until I figured I'd done about enough that he wouldn't get away while we waited for the police.
One was in Norfolk, Virginia while I was in the Navy and the policeman wanted to take me away for battery.
The other was here in Texas and the criminal tried to get the policeman to take me away, too. The policeman said "Okay. But first I have to let him kick your ass some more."
It's just a difference in how we think from one part of the country to another. Massachusetts (sp?) is apparently even further into the realm of crazy than Virginia was.
