Which one ? There's a variety of models ranging from imports such as Kingfisher to high-end stuff like Gary Grainger...
They all have little traces of sand paper.
It might feel disappointed in you, just for asking.
They're very sensitive and have self esteem issues.
Had some socks like this. Ended up, they smoothed out the rough patches on my heels.
i wouldn't wear socks with creases in them. but i have nothing against folks who do.
OK, I'll give a serious answer.
I had one of these about 15 years ago. (See picture, though this one ain't mine.) I don't recall if it was even given a model name or number.
Neck was wide like a P-bass but shallow front to back. It was very light, maybe 8 1/4 pounds, though I know there were some heavier ones made. Sounded killer. They haven't made this model in over 10 years. . . . . Sold it after about a year of ownership because the neck geometry was not my favorite. Now I'm kicking myself for having sold it.

I played one of the early ones because it was mid 80's as I recall, this was my impression as well, wide flat neck which is fine if your into that sort of thing. I didn't really care for it but I thought it looked pretty cool
The early ones from the '80s are a bit different in several respects. I should have bought the one I played at West L.A. Music but was not doing any music at the time (all disposable funds went into photography).
PRS could start another internet war by making a Geddy Lee signature bass. It would look like a Jazz bass and be called The Ground.
They feel sad, but hide it well. Very brave basses.
I played a couple at NAMM when they first came out in the 80s. I'll just put it this way; I've played $150 basses I liked a lot more.
They felt like basses built by a guitar player. Someone who had no idea of what a bass should feel like, so they just figured they'd make a guitar, but bigger, and roll with that.
I have not played them since and for all I know the modern ones may be awesome.
