ps-6 harmonist with bass

hi, i'm new here and would appreciate anyone's help on this one:
has anyone tried out the new boss ps-6 harmonist with bass? as usual, all the youtube clips are with guitar. if you've tried it, what are your thoughts? and particularly, how does it track an octave down? thanks.

i've been gigging one with one of my bands for about a month or so now.
sounds absolutely awesome with bass, particularly on the s bend mode.
I tried it for octave down, and it tracks ok, but i'd rather use either my bod, oc2, dod octoplus or octabass instead. The octave wasn't as pleasant to my ears as the dedicated oct pedals.
All i can suggest is to give it a try. you never know you might just love it!

thanks, crapusername. that's my gut feeling is i'll still need to stick with m oc-2... but the other features look great! was hoping to save space on the board by using it as an octave replacement with all the bells and whistles. i'll try it and see.
we might be the only 2 crazy enough here to run a bass through that thing!

I have a PS-5 I asked about, but noone responded. I was thinking of using it for the detune feature, which is one of the best chorus-like sounds I've ever heard (for guitar). I was asking for bass, but after lots of help in another thread from friendly TBers, I managed to snag a cheapie Boss CE-2B. :)

Anyhow, I digress. Let us know! My PS-5 sounds like it'd cut frequencies that the bass needs to do its job in pitch shifting mode, but that may just be due to my expectations. I know if I try to use the pure octave down on that pedal (with guitar) to play bass if the bassist is late to rehearsal or something, it doesn't do a great job..... the sound doesn't cut through. It may be my guitar amp, though. I haven't experimented nearly enough.
