Punchier replacement for SVT-410HLF

You won't be disappointed at all with the super12. It is a monster! I got a super12T and a compact a few months ago. Found my perfect sound right out of the shipping box. Punchy as hell!

Yeah, I've seen your "just got piles and piles of BF gear" thread :) That's a proper Rig of Doom right there! Now I'll just have to try not to get any ideas about downsizing my amp - I guess my rack weighs close to what the S12 does... Then again, that should nicely balance carrying them both in one go! Besides, the S12 apparently likes the power my QSC can dish out.

Yeah the S12 loves it when you give it a little extra juice! Because of it's high sensitivity it gets real loud without many watts. The other day actually I tried it out to see how well it could handle 600watts from one channel of my shuttlemax 12.0. Turned it to 11 and the S12 just laughed at me! It's a real beast

My S12 finally arrived today. Didn't have much time to noodle around with it, but I can say the punch is there. Also, the cab seemed to like being fed ridiculous amounts of power, it only sounded better the louder I turned my amp. Can't really wait till next rehearsal to see how the rig will sit in the mix.

I would try a 410-he instead if your looking for an ampeg cab. The hlf is a great compliment for some guitar tones, but not all. More tubby, and thick. The horn can get your fingernoises, but not much growl and punch in that cab. I though it sounded perfect for r&b.

After three rehearsals with the Super Twelve I can quite safely say I am pleased. I still need to work with the eq, but with the compliments I have been receiving from both of my guitarists and my drummer I know I didn't go wrong with the purchase. And damn, that light little box gets loud.

I recently switched from a HLF410 to a genz neox 212T. Yep, that's what I've been missing. Love love love it. Really works well with a 5 string. Nice and tight, no boom, no mud, and it fits in my backseat! Hope the Barefaced continues to please......Looks like some awesome gear!!
