Pup replacement help

Okay, I'm buying the Aguilar Obp-3 preamp and a pair of EMG Active pups to put in my Stiletto Studio-6.

One EMG is the DC45CS ( Ceramic ) & the other is DC45DC ( Dual Coil )

TBers : Which position should I put each? I usuall run my basses with the pickups even or favoring the bridge a hair when soloing.

i would put the dual in the bridge position, and the ceramic in the neck.

The DC is real harsh at the bridge position, and was really made to sound like a Music Man pickup. The guys at EMG told me it wasn't made to go in the bridge position. If you play with your bridge pickup soloed, you might like the CS better at the bridge. But if you like a brighter bridge pickup than the neck, than that will work.

But then I didn't like the DC at the neck position either.

By the way, the DC and the CS are both dual coils, and both use ceramic magnets. But the CS has steel blades which raises the inductance and warms the tone up.

Since they have quick connects, you can wire them up and try them both ways.
