Wow that's my dog's pic. Great to see! :hyper: It's also great to see Border Collies getting some recognition in this thread for the wonderful breed they are. That default Border Collie Smiley face is infectious isn't it!

And I'm glad to hear that you're adopting a responsible pet ownership attitude. As i mentioed in our PM's, Border collies run. That's what they are bred to do. Anyone who's considering owning one, or any working dog breed for that matter, has to be prepared to take them out often and let them run to they're heart's content. We've got a decent block of land which helps, but we find we need to take him to parks occasionally so he can really stretch his legs... yep he loves running that much. And talk about fast - he can cover 90yrds in the time it takes me to sprint 50yrds.......

I've stumbled on a couple more pics I'd like to share. The one is my ex-flatmate's Maltese who, as you can see, was a disaster. I can't tell you how much toilet paper and shoes she destroyed, but gee she was cute.

The second is Jake, the British Bulldog who belongs to one of my wife's friends, and with whom my dog often has "play dates". Which is funny to watch because bulldogs aren't exactly built for running are they? :)

I am more of a cat person but I do have 3 adult dogs (well, two are less than 1 and 2 yrs. old but considered adults).
But surprise the baby of the dogs, a part chow and part dachshund and my chihuahua had 4 puppies! Our other dog is a 5 year old collie.
here are puppy pic. they were born on Aug. 29th.

Haha what a weird mix!!! Yeah, my dog is cool but sometimes he has the worst traits of both breeds.....he can be a bit aggressive with puppies which I hear is a trait of chihuahuas and then he has the super intelligence AND super stubborness of the JRT.....there are times where I swear he is just going to say "**** YOU" when I give him a command, haha. He knows exactly what to do and chooses to ignore it. Other than that though, he's a great dog and has a great personality. He's still really playful and loves his toys.

OK here's a question? Do you guys get that weird sensation that everything is somehow different when the dog isn't around?

We put Toby on to a plane yesterday and flew him interstate to my wife's parents place. We'll meet up with him in a few days. Gee the house felt empty yesterday. But not just empty - it also feels....I don't know how to put it..... the house feels strange somehow. Heck my wife and I found ourselves bursting into impromptu Toby impersonations all night? What's with that?

I know exactly what you mean. When I've had to leave my dog at the kennel or the vet for some reason it's always seemed like the house is really quiet and empty. Even though I have two cats that run around having a good old time when the dog isn't here. :)
