Purely Acoustic Basses?

i just got a cheap one for 110 Uk pounds, no cutaway, after a while the thought of a preamp and controllers in there bothered me (why?), so i just took them out and covered the holes with a piece of plastic (not much of a luthier). I love it.

I found this little acoustic 25" scale bass (EADG) with steel rounds in a music store in Mazatlan, Mexico...no clue who made it...no markings on it at all but it's a cool little bass.
