Putting a dollar amount to how much weight matters, if it does.

Do you value less weight enough to pay more?

I love how all the jocks in here love to brag about their 12 lb basses and they tell us we just need to work out more. Seriously, shut up.

1. Not everybody works out so get over it.

2. Some of us have worked out and still got injuries, many as a direct result of working out.

3. Some of us got injuries before we worked out and the damage is done.

4. Some of us are in perfect shape and just want lighter basses.

5. I said "shut up" already, didn't I?

REAL men don't even use straps, and consider neck diving to be a competitive sport.

Hey--like what you like & play what you want.

For me I have my answer & you have more.

I just find the idea of a lighter bass costing more ridiculous.

Lots of other stuff affects the price (Some of it ridiculous as well, some sensible)
If money was no object I might consider it, but same bass other than weight?

But that's my take, not yours & I don't expect anyone to agree with me, unless they want to.

I know people with bad backs--And I see the pain they go through.

How important is lightweight to you?
it has become a defining (deal-breaking), all-important (next to feel-in-the-hands) quality.

of six:
- heaviest = 7.8 lbs.
- lightest = 6.2 lbs.
- average of six = 7.0 lbs.

they all play exceptionally well...why fight the weight? :)

disclosure: all are parts basses, assembled with weight reduction in mind.
