Putting An "Internet" Band Together

Alright, so I've done this whole thing a few times, but it always fizzled out due to lack of dedication from the other members, but this being a rather professional place, I figured, why not?

I'd like to put a post-hardcore/metalcore band together. I know a lot of members here aren't just bassists, so I'd like to see what we can come up with.

I've always been a vocalist rather than an instrumentalist, so we'd need 2 guitarists, a bassist, and a drummer.

Requirements:
Your own equipment, obviously.
The time and dedication to do this.
Your own quality recording equipment.
Mixing and mastering ability is s BIG plus.
Ability to write and play fluently with other musicians.
And the biggest part to me, the ability to COMMUNICATE.

This sounds like a very cool idea, but I think that most of TalkBass members would fit most of all of those requirements which begs some more questions:

-What is the purpose of this project?
-Is creative collaboration encouraged?
-Are those who participate full-share members or is this a "Bandleader and Hired Guns" situation?
-If hired guns are used, what's the pay and contract splits for the project?
-How are the fees and income distributed among the members vs the hired guns?

I'm very interested to see how this idea pans out, it sounds very unique!

Purpose of this project just being an opportunity for other musicians to come together and start something they can be passionate about. Make some tunes.
Creative collaboration is ALWAYS encouraged.
It's definitely full-share. There's no such thing as a "band leader" in my book.

Basically, the way I did it before was, I found a group of people from various parts of the world, we discussed a lot of things over Skype for months before actually starting the writing process. We got a feel for what each member's skill level, influences with their writing, and they kind of music they'd like to play. We put all that together and began writing music. I think we only had 2 songs listed that we sold copies off. Any money brought in would be split EQUALLY between the members, even though back then our drummer was the one who did all the mixing and mastering. He was gracious enough to not taking the larger cut he actually deserved. We had a guest vocalist on one song, and he was paid the same cut we all got. Granted, we never made enough money for it to be really much of a pay out, but still.

Any guest spots that would be brought in, payment would be discussed before the work began and was set in stone.
