Putting together a new rig, advice very much appreciated

Yeah, I was planning on putting in a volume control ("L-pad"?) like they have on the Ampeg cabs if I added one. No reason not to, right?

OK, I think I'm all set then. Thanks very much, everybody; first post here and a very helpful and fast response. I've lurked when I had questions before but this really seems like a great forum.

I'll keep in touch with any updates when this project gets underway properly. Planning on getting some nice white totex and black metal grills, so should be some pretty pics I've also got a pretty decent recording setup and live room, so I can probably get some nice recordings of what the rig sounds like, too.

Lots of folks say they don't need the tweet and don't miss it at all, so there's that. To me, it adds just enough shimmer and air for upright bass or if you use effects much. And you can always turn it down/off
