PYPB 37: In a row?

Getting real darn close to done...

Signal path is is TU-2 -> LS-2 -> Opto Stomp -> VT Bass -> EBS Wah One. In the the LS-2 loop is the MXR BOD, Micro Synth, and MWBD. PP2+ underneath and Planet Waves cables throughout.

Current configuration is downright glorious. Micro Synth and the Wah One give me plenty of sweepy filter goodness, BOD is like my old OC-2 on steroids, and the VT Bass just pushes everything over the top. And now I can go from synth to bass with a single click, which makes the live show switching quite a bit simpler.

Only change in mind is the MWBD - I think I might be better served by a more traditional fuzz (<3 Colin Greenwood's tone on National Anthem), tempered by a bit of clean blend with the LS-2. I have an El Grande on the way, so we'll see how that shakes out.

The guys in the band loved it. Since we're a trio, I had plenty of space to work with. And, I managed to get everything set so that the volume didn't really change no matter was active.

The best part was at the end of the evening, one of the servers who has heard us over 200 hours over the last couple of years came up and said, "Dude--what were you doing during that solo? It was amazing."

It was the Octamizer into the And Aardvarks!


Needless to say--I'm hooked. :bassist: :help:

gawd that'a annoying. HOWEVER, Mission'll make you an always on two output, one M-Series, one EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. kinda neat to control 4 boxes with one expression pedal.

SO glad Jean built those Expresso's. was looking for something like that FOREVER. best utility box i've ever had. i know it's hard to spend money on things that don't make noise sometimes, but the lil bugger opened up how i used so many pedz. LOVE. IT.

Nice! Yeah to me, The Elements does more then one sound well so it would seem you could go in a different direction with it. But... I know almost nothing about the Sewll so it could do the same...

I love the sounds i get from it, but with my main band (think Mastodon/Neurosis/Truck Fighters style), i disappear way to easily, i tend to lose a lot of low end so it doesn't get as much use as i'd like. I'm considering trying it with a blender to keep some more lows (maybe and LS-2?).

LS-2 is a great pedal for this. Plus once you have one you'll find a million other ways to use it as well!

Timeline is insanely good. every time i play with a different mode t makes me come up with a riff in a different direction than i would without. love that thing.

yessuh! i DID. it's not a huge difference, but a/b'ing it with my unmodded M5 i could hear a bit more crispness. i never had problems with volume drop, so the extra knob for volume isn't that big a deal. the switches being off the board? WORTH IT. they feel nicer now too.

it's a helluva multi. dirts kinda suck, some of the filters are good, most are horrible. everything else is NICE.

there's a guy that mods up the signal path (some people complain of the bass dropping a bit when the M9's on), adds an overall volume control and takes the footswitches off of the circuit board and upgrades them to nicer switches.

not a HUGE difference, but the newer switches make me feel way safer about it's longevity. the DL4's were ALWAYS breaking 'cause they were crap switches mounted directly to the board. SKEERY.
