PYPB 38: When 'a few' just isn't enough...

Digitech Whammy (guitar) -> Dunlop Crybaby (bass) -> SovTek Big Muff -> EHX Micro Bass Synth -> EHX Pulsar -> EHX Micro Q-Tron -> Arion Bass Flanger (MFL-2) -> Boss PH-2 -> Boss CH-2 -> Hardwire DL-8 -> EHX 2880

Would've preferred not to post this on the same page as pantherairsoft's, but what can you do.:hmm:

Here is the modest set up I've been using. Don't know how long the Ultimate Drive will last, but I have been wanting to know what all the fuss was about the OCD
without paying full price and it seems to do the job.

Oh snap! I saw this pic on FB ( I am no stalker, I friended Fuzzroucious and saw they were tagged in the pic ;) )

somehow, I had a feeling that the UD was my old one! Looking good!

I've lost my pedalboard a couple months ago and been incredibly lucky to get it back. Well, only pedals actually. So, after three iterations, I decided to buy the same board I lost - Behringer PB1000. I removed the foam, velcroed it and it's so much better then stock. Next step: uniforming the patch cables :).

Got my B3K, and I think I'm done for a while... so I'm reposting in #38.

BTW, OC2>B3K>Proton=delicious!

1,2,3,4,5 pedals and one expression pedal that we have in common.. Awesome!

I'm really interested in The Elements, I was thinking of getting one and putting it and the end of the signal chain for EQ and boosting purposes.

Here's the simplified board:

pb621_1.jpg

pb621_2.jpg

pb621_3.jpg

signal: turbo tuner -> ss/bs blarg-o-tron-o-tron -> ss/bs team awesome fuzz machine -> iron ether oxide -> iron ether polytope -> iron ether frantabit -> iron ether xerograph deluxe -> ehx pog2 -> ernie ball vp jr. -> eventide pitchfactor [signal now stereo] -> strymon ola -> strymon timeline -> strymon bluesky -> strymon flint -> neunaber technology stereo wet

vp jr. #2 controls 5 expression inputs (wet, flint, pitchfactor, timeline and xerograph deluxe) via 2 expressionators.

dmc-3 controls timeline looper and presets. pedalboard by www.thecustomdistrict.com

thanks for the compliments, guys! I'm sorry to scare some of you... though, there's a few in this thread that scare me too!

tendollarcat - I'm sure elon at customdistrict could design/work around that supply. going by the measurements I think width and depth is fine (might be able to fit 2), but on my particular board the support beam for the 3rd tier might be in the way of the three higher inputs. Shoot him and email and see what he says.

Hey Jean! How are you finding the Strymon Ola? I can't find any demos of that pedal being used with bass anywhere. :(

I'd imagine that with the mix knob you can preserve your fundamental very well, but how would you describe the actual quality of the effect on bass?

EDIT: And of course it is worth mentioning that your board looks absolutely KILLER! :bassist:

The thing about Jean Baudin that some of may not know is that his bass playing skills are a lot like his effects pedal boards.... simply amazing. My bass playing compared to Jean's is fairly neanderthal like.

Regarding my dirty board, I confess that I just really love dirt! I did switch the signal chain up a little from the pic I posted, the B3K now sits between The Elements and the TFR.

Nero, I'm just starting to tap the potential of the Dr. Sci Trem. I bought it to get the Leslie effect when covering some Led Zep and for the monthly psychedelic improv jams I do at one of my local clubs... I will say this, it's becoming the most fun pedal I have.

Thanks Jean! Going to see if a two tier board with a slightly higher than standard raised second level can be done at some stage. The cost of postage to Australia may kill it as an option but I'll ask the question!
