Hey Jean! How are you finding the Strymon Ola? I can't find any demos of that pedal being used with bass anywhere.

I'd imagine that with the mix knob you can preserve your fundamental very well, but how would you describe the actual quality of the effect on bass?

EDIT: And of course it is worth mentioning that your board looks absolutely KILLER!

I'm still honeymooning the Ola... the main reason I got it was for the env and ramp modes... but the scope of the depth/speed just isn't that much. The Polytope blows it away as far options and different sounds. I was hoping this would keep me from twiddling the Polytope knobs as much (especially with the Ola have 2 settings) - I'm going to give it more time, but I have a feeling this will be listed at some point.

The thing about Jean Baudin that some of may not know is that his bass playing skills are a lot like his effects pedal boards.... simply amazing.

Thanks Jean! Going to see if a two tier board with a slightly higher than standard raised second level can be done at some stage. The cost of postage to Australia may kill it as an option but I'll ask the question!

He ships it flat and you raise or lower the shelves as you see fit - but yeah, I can imagine shipping to Australia might get pricey.

I'm in the process of tidying up (lightly scraping) the 'spray' around the edge of the letters. Hopefully it'll be all done and mounted in place by the end of the weekend.

That said the board is being stripped as soon as a few bits arrive and a new carefully planned ergonomic layout is coming into effect

I've already removed half so it's too late!

I was tempted at first... But unused that font specifically as we use it for our posters/sites etc and the font is sharp and clean... So I'm keeping it uniform. I'll not tidy up the lid of the flight case though!

The quadravox mode sends the 4 different pitches to either side of the stereo signal - when you put some ms behind them (so they arpeggiate) the notes ping pong around. It's actually kinda neat.

Im pretty proud of myself at the moment so figured Id post. The Rusty Box replaced 2 pedals, VT Bass and Ibanez PD7 overdrive. Then the Grey Stache sounded better with the Rusty Box than the Pickle Pie B, so that got replaced too. Trading 2 for 1 opened up a spot in the daisy chain for the wah, had to dust this sucker off and forgot how awesome it is.

These pedalboard threads DO keep getting better and better. The word is out, effects expand the musical possibilities of bass guitar.

Really diggin these B3 + SansAmp Deluxe combos. Thinking of doing the same myself.

Well, I agree! Except I use a B2.1u, not a B3. Anyway, I'm very happy with this set up.

This works for me, because half time Im using either the guitar synth or pedal board by themselves at different gigs, and other times together.
