This is probably my favorite thread for lurking... so, I thought I'd introduce a topic of conversation: Having lurked on this thread for a minute now, I have noticed that as we change our pedal boards, some pedals remain and some move on. So, what are the pedals that have stood the test of time? What are the pedals you just can't sell? And why?
For me, I seem to not be able to move my Rusty Box, TFR, three knob Xero and Psilocybe off of my board. The Rusty Box has become the foundation for my roots rock with punk rock undertow... it's just my sound. The TFR is the best sounding muff to my ears and just plays so well with whatever filter and octaver I have on my board. The Psilocybe beat out a Phase 90, Smallstone, and a Keeley 6 stage. And the three knob Xero provides the foundation for my dub tone. The Vintage Microtubes, Wonderlove and SubT seem to be contending for permanent spots. I'm probably going to try the new fuzz from Darkglass and will be buying an Enabler as I've moved in to an apt with a neighbor who doesn't want to hear any bass after 9:00 pm.
So... which of your pedals have stood the test of time?

Unfortunately I've sold my time tested pedals.
TFR, B3K, BMC, Schism.
I'm slowly getting them back though; got a Schism on it's way to me.
Next I'll acquire a B3K, then a TFR, then a BMC. Again...
The BMC was my first ever pedal, so selling it was kinda hard (not paying my student loans would've been harder). I was using it to alter the tone of the TFR. A bit of a mid bump and the TFR gets all screamy, a bit of a low-mid boost and it's over the top boom/vroomy. The BMC is such an awesome utility pedal. Super gonna get another one soon. Got to get my grind and vroom back first though.
But I had to sell those, I didn't want to. So my time testers are (in order of acquisition):
BMC
Submarine Designer
Tall Font Russian
Schism
B3K
Honestly, when I think of a pedal board for my sound, that's what I see in my mind.
I think I'll be keeping the Dispatch Master for a while too though.
Also, I've bought and sold and re-bought the same Bottom Feeder, so I guess that'll remain too.
I'm probably never selling my Bluebeard, though I go back and forth over it taking up space on my board. When I had the TFR, the Bluebeard sat on the treble guitar board. No other effect I've tried can overgain another distortion set after it like the Bluebeard does. For instance, right now I have it set before a Megalith, and yikes... Talk about bone crushing face melting fuzz... just, yikes...
Anyhoo... Here is my board currently. It will change a bit soon when I get the Schism.
Also, the Diesel Dawg (bottom left) will be going to fellow forumer next week, so its just there to keep the space cosey.
It does sound pretty cool though, I was pleasantly surprised.
But I realize that I need drive pedals more than distortion pedals.
Unfortunately I've sold my time tested pedals.

Reverb - 9 o'clock
Repeats - 9 o'clock
Mix - 12 o'clock
Delay - 8:30 o'clock

I'd like to think that The Moog, Sonic Death Ray, and Blue Beard are keepers. The Moog is just so damn awesome and meets all of my delay needs. I considered letting go of the phaser, but it's awesome and I got it for such a reasonable price I'll probably never own one again. The BB, well I'm yet to find a heavier, more well suited heavy fuzz for my needs.

You know Greg, I don't really associate you with whining, more with "I'm totally done for a while, except for these three pedals I'm going to buy in the next 5 weeks."
Hahaha gawd I really wish you were wrong. That is TOTALLY me, I can't deny it. I'm horrible.
I'll keep you in mind. But really, it has some sentimental value cus Sonny made it for me, and has a note to me inside with a Swamp Thing sticker and a piece of the Heavy Metal Parking Lot! Plus I etched it myself with Voltan's blood lusty visage.
I'm sure if I had to sell all my pedals again I'd keep the Submarine Designer and the Bluebeard and have at a minimum the two effects I need to keep playing what I like.
I guess that's why I etched those two!
Oh, and if you can't get a hold of Sonny, adding a tone bypass is pretty easy. It's just a SPST toggle I think.

Just got my Fame (Biyang) Sweet Tremolo and it sounds awesome 
Also got a Behringer Vintage Phaser today (paid almost nothing for it and thats mainly why i've gotten it) not sure what to think of it tho. I'm gonna play with it a little more to see if i find a use. I'm also thinking about trying some Joyo pedals. I really seem to be into trying cheap pedals lately..

I have a lot of pedals in the collection that I will not sell but on my live board there has been an EHX BassBalls for over 30 years and now there are 2. The Akai UNiBass since it was released, seems like forever now and i use the effects quite a bit.
My little red board is a Rocktron Heart Attack[bass balls clone dressed in red] and a Zoom B2.1u that is all that's needed for the C&W gig.
All the other selections have changed but my board has been static since adding the Zoom B3 that brings a whole lot of sounds under foot and even bumped my analog fuzz pedals worked so hard to select.
