Nice! I had heard about these kits, but I hadn't really looked into them yet, plus I hadn't had a chance to post a thread to see how many TB members have/are using them and to inquire about their quality vs. George L's vs. Lava etc..

They certainly would make rewiring a board a bit cheaper. :bassist:

I had some George L's go bad on me....so i switched afer seeing these in Guitard Center one day on sale...i really like the way they go together and they have a very cool set screw assembly so they don't slip...plus they are gold plated if you buy into that hodoo about improved signal flow.....and double insulated cable...been gigging them non stop for over a year now...and just picked up a second kit...

I have had no issues what so ever with them

Good to know.

How large are the plug heads...it seems like George L's & Lava promote how small (low profile) the jacks are...presumably so you can fit more pedals on your board.

The planet waves look a little more beefy..not a problem for me, as I'm not packed too tight on the board...yet. :ninja:

I love the Lava ones, only way I can fit so much on my board.

plugs are just shy of 1/2 wide and just about 1 1/2 long...can't beat them for the price...

I use the Hosa Pancake for pedal to pedal connections

and i use the Planet waves for long runs between loops (I have three diffeent signal paths running right now), Kill switch, and blender....

if you can handle an "inch" between pedals your fine with the planet waves kit

Yeah, I've got 5 or 6 of those myself, damn handy for tight spaces, but sometimes interfere with the DC plugs (depends on the pedal).

I can at the moment, but that may not always be the case, as I need to be able to fit as much as I can on a PT1...I'd rather not have to go any larger.

But I think I'll order the cheaper set of these anyway, I need to rewire my "bedroom board" and these will be perfect for that!! and I'll need to make one long cable that routes under my PT1...Jack thickness is irrelevant for that cable so this kit will work great for that too.

Source Audio is going to start monopolizing my board. It's possibly going to be kicking the Rat Tail off my board too....evil Source Audio! Have you no mercy??

That, and the paint on the B3K letters couldn't handle a weekend of masking tape. Bah. I might as well finish the job and have one "Mystery Pedal" on my board... >.<

Chain:
B3k-> MXR 6-> SA OFD-> LS-2-> Rat Tail-> LS-2-> Tight Fuzz-> SA Orbital-> Partitiicccticrrrrtic...Particle -> B3 ->TU-2

Wow nice board! Just watched PrymaxeVintage's Demo of the Particle... This is so great :bawl: And then this which makes it even worse. Why is this pedal so expensive? :atoz:

I wanted something extremely unique that I could fiddle around with and make unearthly noise with. I've had it for a few months now and I still have no idea how to get the most out of it. It's like a piece of alien music technology crammed into a pedal, completely unlike anything else I've ever owned or been able to find. It's delay, tremoloy, pitchy shifty, randomized glitchy, oscillating madness.

Terrible quality from band practice but here's the Particle in a weird delay type thing mode

Might be terrible quality, but sure sounds massive :bassist:
The only problem I see with this thing is that all those modes (dens, lfo, pitch etc.) are just like new pedals. Meaning you only have one sound with that one switch. Same has the MicroSynth from EHX. So many sounds but just one switch. Too bad...

Thanks! Yeah I've discovered that one button "flaw" in short order. That's the only song I use it on so far but you move any of the pots a hair and get a completely different sound. I'm thinking a series of color-coded dots for different settings or a small set of laminated cards with diagrams for certain songs. It's definitely not something for every song of course, but a little learning is in order if, for instance, you're doing a jam off a song or something and want to throw a cool oscillation pitch dive or something in a loop, you need to know where to dial in a bit more than normal delay pedals.

Still worth it. Worth every penny. I'll master it one day haha
