PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

DUDE NICE!! How do you like the GOnkulator? the Vitriol? and the Obscura? I had a Phase99 a while back and it was really cool, though I still miss my old Phase 100.
awesome board.
Thanks! Let's see...The Gonk, I've only had for a couple of weeks. I'm totally sold on it! The tunable ring mod combined with the grunge distortion just kills. Running it through the delay in combination with the Meatbox produces all kinds of haunting, chiming, bizarre metallic sounds. The Vitriol is a badass, grinding, over the top distortion even at lower settings. I took the fuzz off my board for this and I'm really enjoying it. But, expensive and hard to find. The Obscura is really great, very flexible, way more capable than the Carbon Copy it replaced...I'm glad I got it.
Now that this is finished, I'm going to focus on finishing my guitar pedalboard. If you were wondering why no Earthquakers, well, that's where they're all going.

I keep on looking at your board and drooling over it lol, I need to get mine a bit more finalized!

Finalizing it, is definitely the hardest part. Mine is just a reflection of my severe OCD. The pedals that came and went, could finance a small business.
I almost couldn't fit all five on the top row, they were overhanging...until I came upon the way to stagger them like that, then they fit perfectly! Putting a board together like that is like a puzzle.

Me too for expensive! Looking forward to seeing your new pedals. I found the Mantic Flex Pro in a store in Tokyo a few weeks ago...good luck finding one even in the States...that was the most expensive single pedal I ever bought. I realized it kind of sucked on bass, but it rules on guitar!

Always was curious about the flex but heard it wasn't too cool on bass.

OK...added a second 60B, which will be used as a preamp for the T-Bird (patch: MXR DI +, bass eq, room reverb and noise killer). I've also created a light room reverb patch for the Jazz, just to give it a bit of depth. I'll see how that goes over at band practice next week. The lower-tiered 60B is exclusively used for fx patches (at this point: chorus, filter, delay and two different octaves).

yeah, heard of them before. But, I got such sweet discounts at prymaxe. I may need a few more, but next time I may try the tru tone cs12 ones.

Such a cool board!
I would like to add a good DI at some point and the EBS UniChorus has the input/output jacks reversed from most everything else. Sometimes I remind myself of the old joke of suffering from CDO, not OCD.

The rig sounds great - I'm going to see how much Octaver and OD I can get away at church tomorrow.

If you're not familiar with CDO, it's correcting OCD by putting it in alphabetical order.
Hey Bro! Thanks for translating the message from Dan's weird world so that normal people could understand!

I got to use the Factotum at church this morning and using the octaver was a bit much for the stuff that was scheduled. I have another chance next Sunday but don't know what the music will be yet
