PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Guitar and bass boards:

2 boards.JPG

FullSizeRender.jpg

Here is mine. Signal goes like this:

Bass->Digitech Bass Whammy->MXR Bass Compressor->EHX Ring Thing->3Leaf Wonderlove->Source Audio Orbital Modulator->EQD Rainbow Machine->MoogerFooger Phaser->Robot Factory Dual Trem->Boss DD-2->Digitech XP300 Space Station->MG Music Space City->BeatBuddy->Amp

Everything in the raised second level of the board is in the Wonderlove's effects loop aside from the compressor. That chain is:

Wonderlove send->3Leaf Audio Octabvre->Iron Ether Subterranea->Boss SYB-5 Bass Synth->TAFM->Source Audio Manta->3Leaf Audio Proton v1 (since replaced with a white Proton v2)->Wonderlove return.

The LFO out on the Moogerfooger goes to the expression input on the Rainbow Machine to control oscillation. I really want to upgrade the Wonderlove to the v2 and add a SA Reflex.

It's a stereo dual delay that has a chorus that can modulate the delays. Honestly it's kind of hard to explain but it makes some crazy '50's sci fi sound effects. Like the space station, I found it on eBay for a great deal because it had a switch that broke. Simple fix. Here's a YouTube demo:

What a boss!

Very nice! How is the Luminary. I got all hot when I saw someone about it coming out, but haven't heard anything since. Wih the quad octave, can it get traditional octave tones and also cool organ sounds with the octave up functions?

I'm liking it; only had it a few days but very esay to work with. Nice just as an octave pedal and does the organy thing. It's pretty much a POG2 but smaller and not as ugly. :D

Did you see this demo?

I've started my expansion, not done yet though - just testing placement. The OCD position will be swapped between a couple of different pedals (early V1 Fat Boost, EBS BassIQ...).

I have the Truetone CS-12 (OneSpot Pro) underneath and will try running the Tone Job, Trilogic and Pale Green at 18v. Maybe the OCD as well. The Xotics will run at 12v.

I'll se what kind of difference the buffer makes as well, if any. More of a paranoid thing going to a bigger board, haven't used it with my smaller boards before. Might take it off if I don't notice that much difference.

That is SO tidy!

Two months ago, on May 1, I owned one pedal and it was a tuner. I've been a TB member for a long time and never spent more than five minutes total in the Effects forum. But I had a gig coming up in late May - first one in three years - and decided to get a volume pedal. While browsing the TB Classifieds, I saw my friend Bassmonkeee was selling a Markbass Compressore, which I had heard good things about, and he gave me a great price. Started practicing with it and pretty much dug it right away. So for the gig I had a tuner, volume pedal and compressor on a homemade board.

Now it's five weeks later. No gigs on the horizon, but somehow I ended up with this. I'm not quite sure what hit me, but practice has gotten a lot more fun. :D
