actually, this is an older SubT that TBer eloann lent to me while I was waiting to receive mine (I was among the last orders before IE closed in november). I now received mine, and it has the black knobs.

Thanks! Also not pictured (sitting in the big mono case exterior pocket) is a EP25K 2 output mission expression pedal, meaning that (hopefully) I should be able to use 1 output to control speed of the Ventilator and then the other output will go into the DMC 3 to control the 2 H9's.

This is really what I wanted. The most power and versatility I could muster in a small package. I tell you, I've had the Strymons. I love the Strymons. But you can't beat the H9's for small, powerful form factor and wonderful Ipad interface. If Strymon came up with a "H9" version for them, I probably would buy it, but I've got to say I think this rig will keep me occupied for quite some time.


......plus I can always make a satellite board, right? ;-)

The TAFM blows the GS out of the water, at least for my taste. And, my GS has the gate mod, the tone bypass mod, and 4 diode types (two switches). Even then, I was still thinking of the Dirty Donny because, after testing a normal swollen pickle again at a store recently, I like it better than the GS. What I always did not like about the SwollenPickle is the trim pots. The DirtyDonny fixes that. I wish they did the same for the PorkLoin. If they made all the internal trim pots on the WayHuge pedals external pots, they would be amazing. Also, the smaller size is appealing. I think Dunlop could invest a bit in this line that they bought/resurrected.

I totally agree. I actually used to own a swollen pickle and I got sick of messing with the trims on the inside so I swapped it for a Deluxe Big Muff which was easier to control but I always knew that's not gonna keep me happy for long. So then I ordered a small GS because the word on the street was its one of the best clones. It does MUFF sound really well but I think I may just be bored of it now. I am really thinking about going back to the SP but for it being $50 bucks more than the regular one I don't see justification. I would love a TAFM but I can't bring myself to give him any money right now after he blew me off about the BUZZZ.

Which brings me to Mountanking Electronics Heavy Machine. If I can figure out how to cram it on my board I would love to try it out! Excane's demo is pretty awesome. The thing sound like a Muff Monster!

I would say there is a relatively even split between people using PSUs under their board and people getting by with wall-warts (original or generic, like 1spots). I'm in the former camp for my PT Pro.

I missed some of the conversation, what is the GS that you guys are talking about? It's not ringing a bell right now.

I did not deal with SmallSoundBigSound directly, so I can't comment on them either way. I bought the pedal used in the classifieds. I'll say this, I am starting to have a pretty healthy list of builders I will not deal with anymore. Don't get me wrong, some are great. However, lots of builders are just unreliable, liars, or have very poor personal skills.

I also considered the Mountainking stuff, it just simply did not go that way this time.

I use a bunch of wall warts. The breeder thread may have a slew of board underside pics soon, or at least that was requested. So you may see a lot of ideas about powering boards there soon.
