PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Does that count ?
It's on the floor , I step on it....

Happy to make my first post in this one! Assembled this board last week (after lots of deliberation and research, per my personality) and while it was good in its first iteration, it wasn't quite as dynamic or transparent as I thought it'd be. (Tuner > CB > SLO > Stomp > 3leafs in FX loop)

Did some more tweaking and trying to see what could be discovered and ended up reordering some things to this newest version last night. Much improved! The 3leaf trio comes through the chain much more easily, and the SLOs influence on the chain is much more noticeable. (Tuner > CB > Stomp > 3leafs > SLO) Thinking about maybe squeezing a phaser in the open parking space…

Appreciate all the inspiration I've found in this thread so far!

How are you using the external switches, for the Stomp, I assume?

It changes, but right now it's like this:

The outer two switches on the MIDI Baby 3 are preset up and down.
The middle switch doubles footswitch 3 on the Stomp (because it's easier to hit), which is always my "main" effect on whatever preset. The reason it's doubling switch 3 is that the FS3 LED gives me a visual on qhether or not it's on.
Holding it down activates the tuner
The left aux switch instantly takes me back to preset 0 (my main preset)
The right aux switch is set as Footswitch 4

My trusty Quasar DLX V1 is fried (I think). Consoled myself with a Fairfield Barbershop. Put it at the end of chain before it hits the lpf+hpf and then into the Tone Hammer. Sounds great at bedroom levels and silly gig levels.. Here's where I'm at now. I swap between the TFR and a PD7 Phad Hed.

Huge bummer, my Quasar DLXv1 is a mainstay and would be my most devastating loss from how rare they are. I could always get another Moog (despite them now being over double)

Only brightside is that you can look into phasers you weren't tempted by before. The Strymon Zelzah is the first one that actually comes close to the featureset imo

Yep, bummer indeed. I'm gutted. The pedal didn't actually fry. It's adding lots of distorted hum. Not good.. I'll take a multimeter to it n have a look. Could be fixed maybe.. Glass half full n all that. Was looking at the Strymon today as it happens. It's pricey and I'm broke. Traded some pedals over the past couple of days. TFR and Barbershop are gone. Any pleasing tone I liked can be done on the Tone Hammer. The Mesa is new. It's a monster!

Might be worth hitting up the SubDecay guys, and seeing if they could try repair it if you mailed it in.

I love my early purple Quasar Deluxe, think it was a v2 maybe?

I'd be crushed if it died on me, and I've heard the v1 are uniquely sweet too. Might be worth the shipping and any repair costs.
