I think I did, but decided dirt>phaser was working better for me.

It's been over twelve months since I posted my board so I thought an update was due.

There have been a couple of small changes, but the core remains the same. Main shifts: Darkglass is gone (forever - there was always something 'lacking' with the DG pedals for me) and the SA Aftershock rocks. I upgraded my modulation hub from the Terraform to a Synesthesia, replaced a Nemesis Delay with a second Collider (allowing me stack 4 delays or 4 reverbs or any combination as needed) and my 'spare slot' changed from the Matryoshka to the Fwonkbeta. Though the Fwonk plays very well with the dirt section for some synth tones, it's a bit too 'funk' and the filters in the Synesthesia do a decent job for synthy tones as well, so I'm considering replacing this for something else in the same enclosure width - not sure what yet.

@pantherairsoft awesome board ax always. Imho its tuff to beat either the SA C4 or Spectrum for filter sounds and more, especially for mad tweakers

Remind me what the Synesthesia is all about, and how you like it?

It's a programmable dual modulation pedal. Pretty much all the mod options you can imagine and it can run two at a time, in series or parallel. There is a lot under the hood, but once you get to grips with it, it's amazing.

I used to run multiple modulation pedals, but eventually picked up a Terraform to replace them all. My only annoyance was not being able to run more than one, I.e a phaser into a tremolo or chorus and flanger together etc. This pedal solves that entirely.

I briefly owned an Eventide Modfactor, which I would say is the most comparable pedal. The GFI is smaller, less power hungry and, IMO, sounds better on bass.

I don't really need more filter sounds, with the GFI and the Xero. The C4 is a tempting pick though, as it provides so many more synth options.

I took the punt and picked up a CSIDMAN yesterday and have swapped out the Fwonkbeta, citing it as 'too funk' for what I'm doing. It was a good call!
That's my weekend sorted!

The smaller HXFX board is still the same here. This board works great for direct recording (dry and wet) for me.



I'm bummed the Two Notes ReVolt Bass won't be coming out this month so I can change the bigger board up to something like this-


I'm starting to look into the Master Effects Super 300 or Sushi Box Underground Accelerator or Mesa D.I. or something instead?
Not sure yet, may try to hold out as I really like the layout of the ReVolt.

I got some new stuff, so my salt works spite box moved under the bridge and that made room for the blue colander dark emperor, and need to make room for the drunk beaver tr-100 (tranyor 100 preamp) aswell!!
