I avoid Guitard center for this very reason...lol and the other shop in town has so much stuff crammed in such a small space i get claustrophobic just sticking my head in the door!

Been playing it only a few hours, so here's my first thoughts:

The MB is less transparent than the LMB-3, but that's fine by me, I like what it adds... organic sound, fatness, warmth, whatever one wants to call it. It gives more personality to the bass, IMO. It does real well when fingerplaying and picking.

So far, I still find the LMB-3 less noisy and more adept at slapping, which is not a surprise, having read in Bongo's review (which is dead on, of course) that there are better at peak limiting than the MB.

I'll still be tweaking in the next hour or so for settings that are quiter and better at slapping.

Latest incarnation. The Dynacomp is about to go, replacing it with an MXR M87.

Comp->B3k->LS-2-> (loop)-> Oxide-> Tuner (About to come off the board and go into my Tuner Out on my MB800)-> CEB-3-> DD-5-> VP Jr.

Loop BSY600-> Heliotrope Clone w Moog Expression Pedal-> DS-1

Finally got around to starting my more portable setup. The huge board is amazing, but logistics are nightmarish! Quite a bit has been removed and I'm still at the rough layout phase which i'll use for a few rehearsals before changing my mind again, but at the mo, its working a bit like this (with a few minor tweaks happening this week)...

Built an Invalid Link Removed and a TRS relay for the left side of the board through which the amp switch is accessed.

I love relays, makes for setting up the board however I like without worrying if I have room to plug/unplug stuff.

The empty spaces will be filled next week with an El Oso and Dispatch Master.

Naturally I'll post that update when it happens...

not a lot of boutique stuff here like some boards...but the idea was to be able to create a board...that if something died....it could easily be replaced on the road...

Along the bypass strip at the front (that's a GigRig QuatrrMaster, true bypass strip with relays in the switches for soft press and silent switching!)? It's to turn on the yellow WMD Geiger counter. Other than the Eventide all effects in that board are activated from that switch (though the switches need relabelling as its for the old set up).

There will be a 4-way QuaterMaster going infront of the 2 foogers too which will activate all the effects on that board.

This setup is modular, and for most bass gigs I can just use the smaller board. For guitar, I just grab the M13 board. When I'm feeling self indulgent, I grab them both! The signal flow is pretty flexible with the LS2. I have it setup with the input through FX send as one side of the blender, and the 2 sends on the side of the board (to patch in the smaller drive board) as the other. The output of the LS2 goes into the FX return on the M13. Based on where I have the FX loop set up to occur in any particular scene, I can have have the 2nd board parallel or in a series with the blocks on the M13. If it's being used without the other board, I just use a scene where the FX loop is pre all. Under the board is a Micro Thumpinator, and then the M87 is to catch any crazy peaks. On the smaller board, I have a T1M buffer underneath. Happy fun times!

This is my first PYPB post,

TU2 > SD1 > P&C > VT Deluxe > XLR to Front of House, Line out to amp and another to a Rolls PM55 (for more me in my IEM's mix)

Thinking of modding the SD-1 close to Fulltone Bass Drive specs.
