PYPB XL: Midlife Crisis

Wired and rewired. Waiting on three things. A ssbs double from Brian to replace the Ventures duo (don't worry, they still have their planned use) and a the Multiwave Distortion will be replaced by the SB2 BEF when it's available.

And yeah Millah, I do have power requirements and geometry (and $cost) down to a fairly precise representation. Not dead on though, but close. It helps with placement a lot! I used to have signal routing drawn in too. But that was just crazy! Hmmm... I just noticed I haven't updated the power distribution... heh.

You label it with cost?!? I'm not sure I dare do that, lest my wife look at it and suggest I use the "sum" function!

Well, so far I have had very little time to really mess with it. About 20 minutes at home, a quick opening gig and then a rehearsal tonight. I really need some time to sit down and fiddle with the knobs, etc. They are 2 very different pedals. I feel like I need more time to really dial in the sweet spot on the vintage to get just what I'm looking for. However, I really like that they not so similar to be redundant. The Vintage is really more of a "character" pedal in a way, whereas the B3K just adds straight grit to distortion depending on how you set it.

I've been thinking about picking one up to replace my VT for the tube amp simulation that I get from it. I'm anxious to hear what you think of it.

My lady been telling stories about me again? She's so proud of her man. :p

And yeah Millah, I have to add the cost (to me) for all the effects on my board. It's the only way I can remain sane about my purchases. You see, my lady encourages me to buy new effects (especially since I often buy em for her board too). Our combined enthusiasm for guitar effects has led us to beans and rice (or egg-drop/ramen) for a week on more than one occasion. :help:

I had a VT Deluxe, I like this much better. I think the tubey overdrive is far superior on the Darkglass.
