Quality of Warmoth Custom Basses?

I kinda figured so. While I think USACG is a little more custom or flexible than them, I don't believe they will do one either.

In my case I asked if I could get a Precision body routed for a PJ configuration - but wanted the bridge pup location to be machined to accommodate a JB neck pickup rather than a JB bridge pup.


No go.

I guess they have their CNC milling machines programmed for what’s in their catalog. So leaving something out (like screw holes, a battery box, bridge posts, pickups, etc.) is cool. Or mixing and matching provided you stick to the choices offered on the drop down menus. But they don’t allow substitutions to the menus like swapping a neck for a bridge pickup routing.

I can understand it. They’ve idiot proofed things as much as they can for their customers so you can’t spec what might normally be an unworkable combination.

Excellent quality and if you know what wood combinations suit your tastes, you can build (or have an experienced person assemble it for you) an instrument that will likely out last most other Fender's etc. I have purchased many Fender's and a few Sadowskys over the years but because I usually end up drifting back to my Warmoth Jazz V I end up just flipping the "name" basses and sticking with what works.

Mine had all the holes/routing I wanted, even got Thunderbird pickup routing in a superlight

P body. Having Musikraft make a custom spec neck for it.
