I just want to give a quick "Shout Out" to Marshall Wood, bassist for Tony Bennett. He sometimes contributes to this site and says he reads TBDB all the time. Anyway, he contacted me through this site and offered tickets and passes to the Tony Bennett concert on Oahu, We of course flew over from Kauai, saw a wonderful concert and met Marshall. It was a great night. He is a very classy individual.

While I'm on this topic, I have to say that there are a number of people that I've actually met in real life. To a man, they have been warm, generous, funny and very talented. Eric, Ed, Dono, Arnold and Thomson, Thanks so much!

It was great to meet Trey and his wife Sara. Great people and excellent musicians. I was hoping to meet Marcus Johnson on Maui but he had a gig. What a place to live! There seems to be a lot of live music on the Islands. I hope to return.
