quck question.

i was at a sale at a guitar shop today and saw a bargain on a new genz benz LS 210t cab. so i grabbed it.
my question is, is it safe to run my ashdown abm500 through it?
because the cab is only 200 watts.
im not very good with this stuff and i dont want to blow a speaker in it.

thnakyou.

if the speaker is 8 ohms... then i assume your heads will give the speaker 250-300 watts, which is probobly fine. If its at 4 ohms, then u might have to be careful. Ive heard someone say "when your overloading your speakers, youll beable to hear it"
Must have been an idiot who said that. Yeah, you'll be able to hear it...hear it blow the speakers.

You can run your head into that cab, but you will need to be very careful and not give it more volume than it can handle. Back off of it immediately if you hear any sounds like it's going to blow, because it will.

Jimmy speaks the truth. I run a 1200 watt into a 600 watt cab all the time...without issue. But, I'm careful.

The thing is though, if it were a 500 watt amp into a 1000 watt cab, you can still blow a speaker if you're not careful.

So in the end, exercise some "reasonableness".
