Question about a/b-ing 2 svt classic heads through one 8x10

ok so my question/ concern is can i plug 2 heads into that cab? i would plug the speaker cables in the mono inputs in the back. i would never run both at the same time but i need it as a back up and as a tone change for 2 songs in our set. what i need to know before doing this is 1. is it safe? and 2. is this going to split my 8x10 into 2 4x10's? i'd want to run all 8 speakers when each head is on.

If you have them both plugged into the speaker cab, it's exactly like running the speaker output of one head straight into the other.
If you've never thought about that, it's BAD! So don't do it.

The only way to do it is to use the stereo inputs on the cab. This would give you 2 8 ohm 4x10s.


Probably easier just to re-EQ the head when you need to change tones.

i did not think of that and that makes a lot of sense. that would be bad. thanks. i need two heads because i need a back up on tour. i ordered a road case that fits 2 svt classics with an 8 space on top and i wanted them both in there. i think im going to buy a 350h or 450h as a back up and get and expand my pedal board in that case.
