Bass is a Schecter Elite 5- Neckthrough. I have been using roundwounds .045-.130, I play w/ a pick and get some pick noise and some fret noise. I can eq alot of it out, but Flatwounds have my curiosity. I dont want to have to file the nut ,so, if I try flats that are .045-.130, I wont have to file the nut right? I am looking for a richer somewhat duller rounder sound because the pick adds so much bite and brightness to my sound it is almost too much. Do you think flatwounds are for me?
