Thinking of ordering a set of Inearz P450's while they are on sale, but not sure if the ADEL option is worth the extra $200. Any thoughts?

Question about Inearz IEM's with ADEL

I have the 1964 A8's with ADEL's.. a BIG YES on worth the extra... especially as they can be changed out for differet -dB levels

A crazy situation - My new Inearz P450’s showed up, and they forgot to install the Adel filters. Not sure how they missed it since it was the very first thing listed on the invoice. Anyway they were very apologetic and said they would gladly make them over if I wanted or they could refund the cost of the Adels. The problem is they fit so well , I’m worried that if I have them made over that the replacements won’t have the same fit. Being made by hand they all are a bit different. Getting a great fit first time out is nowhere near an exact science. I’m torn between pocketing the $200 and always wonder what I’m missing out on, or taking a gamble and having them remade.
I'd get them remade the adel is worth it and if the fit isn't right they will redo them until they are correct. If you dont do it im sure you will always have that wonder of what could be in the back of your mind.

I'd get the ADEL's.. I have pretty much NO NOTICEABLE ear fatigue with them over the fully-sealed shells.
They almost act like ambient ports so if you keep the IEM volume low enough you can hear stuff on the stage
Two things I don't want is bleed from the stage or any loss of low end. If neither is a concern maybe I'll have them redone.

Well, I"m not Jerry...
but...having used ADEL and non-ADEL customs (over the last 5 yrs) the difference for me is simple.
It's NOT the sound.. both sound fine.
It's the EAR FATIGUE that occurs with use over time on no-ADEL buds.
The subtle levels of distortion that cause ear fatigue with a sealed environment are NOT there with the ADEL, due to pressure equalization.
DO a forum search on my "story" about trying out the REV33 devices with my 1964 Qi's (non-ADEL) and the trials of using it with the set of 1964 A8's (ADEL's) I upgraded to. I DO NOT use the REV33 with the A8's. No need.
I'd go with the ADEL's..

I have to be honest, when I got the set without the ADEL filters, I didn’t even get a chance to use them and sent them back to have a new set made with. So I can’t answer other than to say I love mine. I bought a different set of filters from another supplier that were supposed to enhance the low end. Didn’t notice any difference than with the original ones. One thing I recommend though, although mine fit well I use Comply soft wraps to give the best possible seal.
