So far it's been shown with lower life forms, it's somewhat harder to track, in real time, something which requires thousands of generations - in life forms which have life spans within an order of magnitude of our own.

Let me put it this way: A house is designed by intelligence to have function, order, and purpose. An accidental gas main explosion can cause chaos, destruction, and failure, reducing the house to a pile of rubble.

Only an idiot would have faith in the idea that the gas main explosion could turn a pile of rubble into a functioning home.

Or an individual with an understanding of the way the universe works. The fact is it's extremely unlikely that an exploding gas main will build a house.

Order, chaos, same thing. It all comes from and ends up in the same place. Just different ways of experiencing the same thing, which is consciousness, or life.
