Question about my amp???

Hi,

First, i bought a head(yorkville xs800h) an a cab(madison m410) last month. I noticed that when i play, the peak meter get in the red(master at 4). I was asking if i was doing something wrong or if i should not care about this(some amp dont have this).

Thanks

Sorry for my bad english( i'm french)

Try to zero out all the eq controls and see if the amp is still running into the red. That should indicate that there's nothing wrong with the amp.

The level meter might simply be showing you that the preamp is running into clipping. It has a tube preamp, so running into the red is actually a desirable situation if you want to fatten the sound.

Hope that helps.
