i haven't had to buy a new amp in about five years, and my head is still fine, but i recently found a empty 1X15 cab in the dumb, in fine condition, and i need to replace the org. speaker. The back of the head has 4ohm wattage and 2 ohm wattage, i was wondering should i get two 8ohm parralled wired, or two 4 ohms? i was looking at possaibly getting Peveys Blue Marvels 4 ohm speakers. but i haven't heard anything about them. if someone could either suggest a better speaker of same ohms and wattage please let me know, thanks.

If you can provide us with dimensions of the cabinet (depth, width, height, diameter or width and height of any ports) then bgavin or someone else may be able to suggest an appropriate driver for you. Cabinets are designed for a specific driver based on certain parameters each driver has. A driver not well matched to your enclosure will not perform well.
Before figuring out what to do with impedance, select a well-matched driver for your enclosure, then see what options are available. If you want to add another cabinet in the future, allow for that by leaving "room" for these parallel cabinets. I'm unclear as to what the impedance of your current cabinet is, as that will be useful in helping make this decision.
