Question about the hadean vickers bass

I've seen these basses on rondo music and they kinda reminded me of the rockbass corvette $$ basses. I was wondering if anyone here own one of these basses, how's the sound quality. also can you describe the sound of these basses. I would like to get an Idea on how they sound. also I'm asking this out of curiosity. thank you for your time in reading this thread. here's the link to the bass.

I would of thought no one would respond to this thread. I figure that since this bass has 2 humbuckers, I assume that it would probably sound similar to a rockbass corvette $$. even though the materials on this bass is different, I'm guessing it has a big punchy sound with thunderous lows. apparently the one way to know is to purchase one. unless someone here owns one and they can tell us how these basses sound. I do like the red color on this bass.

Hey dude, I think I can give you some details. I was searching around for some testimonials on this myself and found this thread but nothing else, and because it was so cheap I decided to just take a leap on it (got the blue one because its sexy). Made an account on here just for you! The construction is really nice for the price and it doesn't feel like some dinky $200 bass. It sounds good, surprisingly nice for the price. I restrung it (EADGC) with a set of DR Hi-Beams and it has a beautiful high range with nice long sustain. On the other end, the lows are massive; before I restrung I fiddled with the low-B and it sounded nice and fat. For reference, I'm running through a Acoustic B100 MKII. I would definitely recommend this bass to anyone looking for quality on a budget, its a steal.

NO! NO! Don't buy it.

I bought this same style Hadean back when it was named after it's model number. I actually gave them a second chance and bought the bolt on Hadean but that came to me scuffed up, bent pots, and the frets were green with corrosion. This list below is the pros and cons of the Hadean EB-9705.

Pros:
- The passive MM pups with the active preamp were the hottest and loudest I've ever played. I still have the pups and preamp in a bag in case I ever decided to use them.
- It looked pretty

Cons:
- The neck was built like a staircase. 3 separate peaks across the neck and it slightly twisted. A local luthier flat out refused to work on it. He told me to just send it back and demand a refund.
- Neck through... so all the neck issues were there for good
- Customer support for Hadean/Rondo is rude as hell. The one I spoke with was some Jersey wise-guy that angrily told me "If you want to return it, the site has information on how to do that, *CLICK*"
- The wiring was jacked. It was arranged so that the battery is ALWAYS being drained and at a fast rate. I had to change brand new 9 volts every day and a half. Unplugging the jack does NOTHING to stop it.
- Could not stay in tune
- The neck was fat and thick like a brick

I stripped every piece I could off of it and saved it all in a bag. The actual bass I gave to my friend and he turned it into a "BASS-ball bat" by shaving the sides down and shaping it into a club. Hadean "I used to call it HAW-DEEEN but I actually think it's pronounced Hay-Dyun" is the very worst experience I had with a bass. I own a first act P bass I bought at a wal-mart with a combo amp for $120 that outperforms it.

Do not buy a Hadean. To be fare, I have not been disappointed in the SX bass I bought. It's junk, but thats what I expected from a bass that was $100. The Hadean looks so enticing but fails to deliver.

My advice is if you already have a Bass and are looking for another one, to save up 200 more bucks and buy a more credible bass. I bought my Ibanez 305DX for $300 on eBay and it's my main bass. I just bought a Spector for $400 on TalkBass classifieds. You have options to get something you will truly like to play. Craigslist can sometimes work out as well.

Thank you for your honest opinion, boom762. for the record, I'm not really planning on purchasing that hadean bass. I was only asking how the bass is. and now I know that there are some minor drawbacks with the bass. and is it really pronounced hay-dyun? I would of thought it was pronounced ha-dean. anywho, If I wanted something from rondo music, I would go with douglas or sx. I once owned a douglas sculptor and I think it's a pretty cool sounding bass. of all the time that I've owned it, I've experienced no minor drawbacks on this bass what so ever.

Recently, I've been interested in trying something new. I've been checking out warwick rockbasses for a while. and I am intrigued by the corvette basic and the streamer standard. I've checked out clips of these basses and I thought they sounded pretty cool. If I get a chance to go to a guitar center or a sam ash, I would like to try them out. I've also been checking out dean basses. not a lot people like these basses, but I think they make some cool basses with decent sound quality. I've been checking out their edge basses and the z metalman. I use to own an ml metalman and I did liked the bass. the only thing I don't like is the case. it's a little too heavy. and I use to own an active and passive edge bass. I think I prefer the active version cause it sounds more versatile compared to the passive version(the edge 1, not the edge 09). these basses are overlooked, but does have decent sound quality. other than that, I would like to try out the warwick rockbasses and see how they are. once again, thank you for your honest opinion on the hadean vickers bass.

I used to say Ha-Dean, but I think its different. Hay-dyun was stupid. I made a mistake in trying to phonetically type that. I think it's pronounce Hay-Dee-N or Hadian.

Hadean is a geological era and the wikipedia pronounces it using "heɪdiən".

I also do not like Dean. I owned a Dean EAB and never looked back at them.

Okay so it's actually hay-dee-n. I also would of guessed hey-dean. speaking of which, I did own a dean ml metalman and a dean edge 5. I thought they sounded pretty cool. I just didn't like the cases. I thought they were a little too heavy. I have been interested in checking out the rockbass corvette basic and the streamer standard. I wanted to try them out the next time I go to a guitar center. if it's as awesome as I think it is, I would consider saving some cash on buying one.

I would LOVE to try a Warwick but you can't ever find them in these parts. I dig Warwick's utilities "3d bridge, adjust-a-nut, etc" . I liked the Fortress body. There was an active MM Rockbass for about 850 but its disappeared from the internet. I don't like passive so I wouldn't bother with the others personally. Our guitar center seems to only order low end Ibanez, Fender, Tobias, and ESPs.

The guitar center in my area carries warwick and rockbasses. the last time I went, they carry the corvette basses. the next time I go there, I want to give them a shot and see how they are. I also plan to try out other basses there too like an Ibanez sr505 and a schecter stiletto custom. I'll also try out some effects they got there too. I would really like to go visit a guitar center once again.

I dont know how many of them are there, but MaxProud can be seen at a GC in Chicago. That would be a cool guy to meet.
