Question for the Ibanez lovers, your favorite model, why?

The new premiums with the Nordstrand Big Singles are worth checking out. The sound is as good as anything and VERY good construction plus passive/active switch option that the SR line was always missing.

+1.

IMO, the SR1205 is by far the best bass one can buy new for $1000.

The build quality is amazing.

I got rid of mine only as the string spacing was too narrow.

My Roadster RS924. The bolt on brother to the famous Musicians. I bought my '81 in London in 1998.

I also dig my Blazer, though... (seller's photo)

One of the Nordy 1200's is in the mail (delayed by the Blizzard of '13... grrr), and I'm looking into trading for a local older 1200.

I like the nordy 1200 so much that I traded a fender american deluxe for it!

While I'm a Fender man and prefer passive over active I do have an SR505 and it is a killer bass. The light weight (7.5 pounds) is a HUGE plus because of my back problems. It's totally balanced and there's some great sounds to be had on board. It has a great playing neck....and the the low B will knock a wall down!!
