Question- glossing a neck

I prefer the looks of gloss necks, purely the looks.
So I intend to get another bass guitar next week but its not glossed.
I would want to send to a luthier to gloss the neck for me.

Any implications to this action I will do ? Thanks in advance for your constructive opinions, fellow TBers

Does it have a satin finish? If so, you may have luck polishing it with Meguiars scratch x. Has worked for me.
