question re rondo shipping

ok i am in TX. i may have need to get a bass shipped to me by mon nite (today is tues at noon central time... 5.5 days).

shipping says ground 4-9 days.

anyone from TX ordered from him before? is it more like 4-5 days...or more like 8-9days?

just curious. thanks in advance & sorry if this has been rehashed repeatedly

since your in texas and rondos based in NH it may take longer, but thats assuming you chose UPS ground. Try second day air if you can afford it

Anytime I have oredered anything from anywhere (not just Rondo) it always takes less time to arrive in MN than what the web site says - UNLESS I absolutely need it by a certain date. If that's the case, it always takes as long as the longest delivery time quoted. Some corollary of Murphy's Law, I suspect.

Like Taxt said, if you absolutely, positively need it by a certain date, spend the extra $$ for UPS 3 day or FedEx 2nd day.

standard ground from rondo to me in dallas is four days from the time it ships (not four days from the day you order it). sometimes they ship same day, sometimes not. just something else to be aware of when making your calculations...

its one of his ebay listings & ground is the only option i see. is there a way to chnge the shipping on his ebay auctions? thanks in advance.

this wouldnt be a problem if i hadnt traded my old bass for a new one *A MONTH AGO* and the new one had to be re-ordered (came in dropped). cant have my old one back as i think its already been sold

the website says its $30 more for 2-day air. geeeeeez. i'm trying to get out cheap with a $99 beater.

never go completely bass-less. lesson most certainly learned ad infinitum.

FYI he replied quickly & said upgraded shipping is not available at all on his ebay auctions. ground only. if you want upgraded shipping, gotta buy from rondo.com. thats fine, i'm happy he answered me!

could you borrow a bass?
maybe check the local pawn shops/craigslist or post a wanted ad on the local CL

ya, just think i secured a yamaha 5-string to borrow. better than buying a new one RIGHT NOW, i guess. thats what i'm probably doing. i aint all that happy about it tho.
