Questions about potmeter-shaft

Hi

What kind of potmeter-shaft is this? (it has a strat-knob)
It's on a MIJ P/J-bass without pickguard.

I've read there are 3 types of shafts:

1) USA split shaft (fine knurled) used on most American and Mexican guitars
2) Metric split shaft (coarse knurled) used on most Japanese and Asian guitars
3) Solid 1/4" shaft used on most Tele® guitars

Correct?

Also, can you recommend online stores that has these pots in 500k versions?

Magnus

Looks like a long-shaft Alpha, so #2. Plenty of places carry them, StewMac comes to mind. AllParts probably does too, I suspect that any ol' local store would have them too.

Beware though, those things are kinda fragile. I broke one into three pieces just swapping knobs :rollno:
