Quick and dirty practice recording

Hey folks. Is there a way to record a practice live into my iMac? I need to get a practice session to a guitar player who is subbing for us.

I have a stock 10.5 generation iMac with garage band in it if that helps. I have all manner of live mixers available if I need them.

If this is feasible would someone be willing to walk me through it?

Perhaps all is well, as I found the video tutorials in the mac.

yep. You might want to invest in an interface too. That way you can get better quality with very little effort.

ive done so many demos on my imac just get them down. very happy with them all.
