quick d'addario prosteels v/s nickel question

Is it possible the pro steels of the same gauge might feel slightly stiffer than the nickels even though the tension chart says the prosteels have lesser tension on them?

i tried the nicke 30, 40, 60, 80, 100, 130 set and am wondering if the prosteels set with the same gauges would let me dial in a lower action setup!? the nickels didnt feel that great honestly something a tiny bit stiffer might be perfect! so yeah any ideas!?

The Prosteels will actually feel looser than XL's in the same gauges.

Paradoxically: you might want to increase the tension of the gauges you're using to get a lower action. I know, but hear me out.

I used to play very light gauges and have gravitated over the years to playing with heavier-to-heavy gauged strings. The increased tension means less string excursion, meaning that you can a) decrease your relief, and b) lower your action.

It does make sense all the way through but i only have these strings available at the moment.
I also dont like very stiff strings but i would like try lo riders actually but they only offer medium gauge strings and shipping one set to my location is not practical! Let me see what i can work around this time!
Thanks for the response!

Ps- lo rider 30 40 60 80 100 130 can be where it is at for me! Just Maybe!
