Quick question on the Peavey Tour 450 head...

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by mello_bedwetter, Nov 13, 2012.

  1. I probably asked this all ready but I can't find the post if I did. On front of the head it has a Pre Gain and Post Gain. Which one of these is used as the overall volume control. I've had the head for a while now but I've been using a GK 1001RB. I guess I'll ask the people that has a Tour 450, what do your settings look like when you play. I do realize they can vary. Thanks again for any help.

Pre-gain controls the signal going into the amp section, post controls the overall volume of the signal coming out (to your cabinet).
  3. Got it...thanks for the info.
