One last question, are 8 ohm speakers better or worse than 4 ohm?

It makes no difference as far as tone goes. What does make a difference is how many cabs you can use with an amp. It is IMHO best to go with 8 Ohm cabs if you are talking about a 410, 115, 112, or 212. That way with most amps you can use two of them.

..Whether on top or on the bottom, the 15 will always be a weak link and subject to damage.
