Quick Springsteen question

I was watching some pretty recent live Springsteen stuff on YouTube, and noticed what appears to be two Marshall cabs, almost laying on their back, right up against the drum riser. Are these used as a sub, or some other kind of sound monitor? I never thought Bruce used Marshall stuff, let alone thought they had PA gear. Anybody have a thought ?

John Fogerty does this as well; I'm guessing this is a way to have mic'd cabs on stage (instead of offstage or in an iso box), still get some ambient wash from them, but a way to keep more of them out of the vocal mics and give FOH a little less to worry about.

Yes, I've been told on another forum that those cabs are his guitar cabs, tilted back like that to keep them out of the vocal mikes. Somehow I just never associated Marshall with him.
