Next gig is 3/4, so I’ve got a couple of weeks to dial it in. Really excited about it, if it works out it will really simplify my setup. Plus I really like the idea of an amp thats dead quiet when I’m not playing anything through it.

Mine arrived waaaaay early, and I put it through a third (??) of its paces today. I used it as a preamp practice tool with aux in.

With the gain between noon and three, there's a nice overdriven tone when you dig in and fairly clean when you don't. After 3 o'clock, there's a slight click when I could hear the gain getting maxed out. It's a big overdrive for sure, on its own it sounds like a fuzz but I doubt it would in a mix.

The EQ is great, went for a midscoop with vintage cab sim and it was beautiful. The B string was the least consistent though, found the gain much more noticeable there even without digging in. Might need to lower it a bit, or maybe lower instrument volume more than I'm used to. Aux In was easy and sounded great as well. Very easy to practice and set levels.

I haven't gone direct into a DAW yet (second third), and I'm afraid the last third (into a speaker) will remain untapped until I start gigging again. Purely recording for the last few years.

Next tests will be the DI into DAW, HPF into FX Loop, and FX Send to bring in the flavor of another DI (Sushi Box Finally.)

So far, this more than delivers and is a bargain for everything it brings to the table imo. (Now my guitar player is looking into their Soundblock series after I told him about this!!)

That's great! How do you think the RS115 will handle gig? Depends on size/room of course, but I've been curious about cab pairings with the Interbass. (I'm exclusively recording now, so this is mainly curiosity and to keep notes for whenever I gig again.)

Didn’t take any pictures at practice the other night but will definitely get some at the gig - RS115 came thru like a champ, barely touched the master and moved plenty of air, of course we were just jamming in our singer’s living room without any PA, but I’m confident I will be plenty loud enough tonight.

My biggest concern is figuring our how to work the PA from the stage, this will be only the second time I’ve used it and the first time with the full band - its a Midas MR18, my first ever digital mixer, and I’m still firmly on the left side of thd learning curve :nailbiting:

Post-gig report:

Think I’ll be putting my BB800 on the market - the Quilter Interbass fills all my needs, and then some!

My rig took maybe 2 minutes to set up and dial in a great sound, despite what turned out to be a rather challenging room: the inside if a brewery, right in front of the fermenting tanks, with a ton of open space on 3 sides and a painted concrete wall opposite me, while competing with indoor pingpong tables and a cornhole tournament o_O

And to add to the degree od difficulty, I was mixing from the stage, using a pair of 20-year-old JBL EON powered speakers that the guitarist bought used but had never even plugged in (!) and one of my Yamaha DXR10s as a monitor. Fortunately there were a few professional musician friends in attendance who assured me the mix was good and well-balanced, and everyone on stage could hear each other, which is all I could ask for. :cool:

I just ordered a handful of lil rubber stoppers for 1/4" ports...as I'm considering plunking my InterBass onto a board but with the option of using it as a preamp via the Line Out. Using a metal headphone adapter in a power amp stage seems mighty risky, so one of them's gonna plug that lil guy.

It occurs to me that if I use the Line Out on the InterBass and run it into my BB800, then with an appropriate cable/adapter, I could run it into the Line In on that guy. Idk if there's much in the way of benefits there, but it could be fun at least (not like I'm not having enough fun as it is!). I may experiment....

There is a “click” on mine.
If you don’t push it in until the click it is a bit loose. After and it’s rock solid, even if a clumsy oaf kicks it.
I think it might be an intentional design feature. If not, mine has a lucky fluke.
The alternative plug I use on my battery power supply does not lock in, the plug just works like any normal power plug.

This ^. My Cioks adapter also clicks.

Same here. Using a right angle plug fixed the issue right away.

All of these pieces are powered by the Cioks DC7 (a piece of kit right up there with the Interbass in terms of expectation-exceeding capabilities) with power to spare. Playing away from the house is pretty scarce these days, but the bedroom jams are a blast :D

is this the BCB1000 case you're rocking? Before many vet bills suddenly happened I was fixing to pick one of them up, how are you liking it? I had plans to mount pedals on the underside with midi controllers on top, etc.

Indeed it is. Got a solid deal on one as a bundle with pedals in the TB classifieds.

Really digging everything about it. Size, construction, lock-in case. Only thing I’d tweak is the built it PSU slot. It’s a little large and not removable from what i can tell.

I played the Interbass/Revsound RS112 combination yesterday at an Easter service. No PA support for me, but I was playing along with electric piano (into the PA), a guitar (into the PA) and about 30 miked singers. Guys on the other side of the 5000 sq ft room said I was the only one they could hear.
I had the gain at 4 and the volume at 5, and the bass filled that room. The Interbass is an amazing amp. Last week I played a service that included full drums and a miked grand piano, in a room about half that size. Again there was more than enough bass in the mix.

Randomly decided to look if TrueTone had a voltage doubling solution in the vein of how Cioks enables voltage doubling with their power supplies. Turns out, sure enough there is.

My new pedalboard rig is centered around a Trickfish Trilobite with some tone pedals in the Insert loop & weirder stuff in the FX loop. And the output, as of today, is running to my InterBass, which I just 'croed and stuck onto the space adjacent.

At the moment, I have no power solution besides a second power cord, but if I a) find two pedals on the board I can noiselessly daisychain so as to free up a power output and b) find for sure that the InterBass and a Sushi Box Particle Accelerator, plus a few lower-draw pedals, can all run on a TrueTone CS7 Pro, then I can run the InterBass as a true on-pedalboard amplifier and/or preamp. Nothing else really draws much, so I think it's possible. Will post photo once the Particle Accelerator is back from Señor Sushi after a bit of accidental mayhem.


I'm realizing, though, that if I want to run the InterBass as a full-on amplifier, I probably have to bite the bullet and use another power supply... such as the Quilter one, strapped to the underside and maybe running to a small power strip along with the CS7. I'll use 'cro so I can grab the InterBass for small jams or practice time, which is what I'm using it for right now.

Gigged it less than a week ago, too, as amp and after that pedalboard. Sounded phenomenally present.

This is by design, I guess I was not paying close enough attention, it kinds of locks in after the plastic plug gets past the metal housing. Kind of clicks sometimes, but it's not hooked in per se. In any regard, it does work fine, I just need to make sure it doesn't get hung up.
