Oh man. I can’t say how devastating that is to all us metal heads and rockers. But, you kind of felt it was coming. He’d had cancer off & on for so long. Sad day. I’ll just go listen to some Van Halen now, and appreciate him, even more, now.

I got to meet Eddie back in 1991 at a private party for the release of his signature MusicMan guitar. I wish I could share the moment he gave my friend a bearhug and yelled out loud that he [my friend] was the only honest $%^&^% in the place.

I will never forget the first time I heard Van Halen, the song Eruption. It was through a really LOUD stereo, as it should be! It had a major impact on my musical pursuits.
