Last December the 5th the Netherlands lost (IMHO) their most original bass player (bass guitarist would be a better description)....
Herman Deinum had a unique style and sound that was completely his own, just a few notes and you knew it was him.
His style was rythmic, melodic and in your face all at the same time.
He started playing piano at the age of ten, after that he picked up guitar and lateron he found the bass (I'm glad he did!).

At around 16:30 there's a solo section, but the whole concert is a treasure trove of fantastic bass playing.
