Rack mount preamp + opto compressor to replace my APHEX PUNCH FACTORY ! Need advice.

Hi,

I have a 19" rack installed with :

- Markbass LMKII Marco Limited Edition amp
- Sennheiser EW-100G2 Wireless
- Korg DTR-1 tuner

On the back in have also in line and permanently connected the APHEX Punch Factory optical compressor + the LA Audio DI2 active DI box.

Last week while playing on a big stage (well that was not funny) I've lost the connection with the Aphex Punch Factory, something goes wrong inside the jack connectors... I bypassed the punch factory for the rest of the gig. Back home I opened the pedal and discover some loosy connections around the jack connectors and the electronic board. I solder what needs to be fixed and everything is ok now... but !

I'm still wondering if there is not a more professionnal way of preamplifying and compressing (optically please !) my basses !

Aphex is not doing any 19" preamp + opto comp... and that's a shame.

So, I am wonderring if any of you guys could help me for choosing a device to put in my 19" rack, 1U or 2U with a preamp gain and optical compressor that are suitable for using with a bass guitar ?

Any advice please ? I was thinking about the TL Audio 5050 but did not try it yet !

Thanks and best regards. Eric.
