So I currently have a 6u rack, 18" front rail to back rail, form amazon.com. I have a GK Fusion 550, dbx 166xl, furman strip, and korg tuner.
I want to add an X2 xdr (if anyone has one I'll gladly take it
) wireless, but have no room in the current rack.
In your super-honest-and straight-to-the-point advice, which option should i take?
1.) Get an 8 space, either foam or unfoamed, and put everything in that. Casters optional
2.) Get a 10 space rolling, foam or unfoamed, and put everything in it.
3.) Get a 2 or 4 space, and move some stuff around and split it up. I would prefer not to go this route, because I like being able to just plug in my bass, plug in the cabs, and plug in the power, and done.
I feel that a 10 space might be too big, but the 8 might be too awkward to roll. The 8 would also be too heavy to lift alone, i think.
Another thing to keep in mind is that my current rack has two handles per side, which is good since it is very front heavy. That being said, the handles need to be strong since my current setup has slightly bent the current handles and I'm afraid to go on tour with it since i don't want them to break off.
The depth can be smaller than 18", as long as it can accomodate the Fusion and room for cables. I like to velcro them to flat surfaces, already pre-measured.
I'm looking at Link Removed since they have the best prices i've seen and I hear that the products are well made.
