Rackmount kit for mesa walkabout head

Hi, this is my first thread on this beautiful forum, so sorry for my bad English :D
I'm an Italian Bass Player, I have a walkabout scout combo (1x12). In this period I'm using the head with others cabs, so I take off the head from the cabs and I'd like to put it into an hard case. The black hard case made by Mesa in Italy costs 560 Euros (!!!), too much IMHO, so I want to buy the rackmount kit. Unfortunately I don't find those rack ears in Italy and in European stores I know, can you help me showing me a link about an USA web store that sell the rackmount kit for Walkabout?
Another two question:
To assembly rack ears do I have to open the amps or can I mount them from the outside?
Do you think it will be sufficent to use a 2U rack cases or I need a 3U rack cases? I'm afraid about the colling of the head....
Thank you

RickenBoogie thank you! As you can imagine Walkabout amps are not much spread in my country, I Join in an Italian bass-player forum (megabass forum ) and there are just 3-4 walkabout owners, it's good for me having read so many pages written by american users. I'm very satisfied of my little but powerful amp

bobalu: yes I tried, nothing. I thought that a lot of american Musical Instruments stores had this rack mount kit... I see that it's not so simple to find

This might not be feasible for you, but have you thought of having someone make you a set?

They are pretty "low-tech" pieces of equipment... two bent pieces of metal.

All you would need would be the measurements of the dimensions and location of the holes. :)

this could be a good Idea, I can see the location of the holes from the walkabout, the dimension of rack ears can be calculated, the width of the head is 12", a rack standard is 19", so both ears should be 3,5". If I don't find the rackmount kit I can look for someone who can build it.
