Ramp over pickup cover ?

Salut all,

Does such a thing exist ?
I like playing over the neck pickup. I like to have the pickup cover at at very precise distance under the strings, I like to crush my fingers against it.
But of course, I can't raise the pickup like I want, otherwise some obvious Clank and Pock appear, huge transients spikes ( I play hard)

So I chose to put the pickup at my " good tone" heigh.

Thinking today of puting a ramp over the pickup. Not thick at all, just to raise the surface a little without raising the pickup itself.
I tried with paperboard (prototype, very disgusting looking) , I already feel the difference when playing. But haven't plug my bass , can't say if tone will be the same. ( I think cardboard won't interfere A LOT with electromag field..! )

Have you ever seen that ?
In a cleaner way ?

Of course in a parallel (and corrupted by the darkness) world I could learn to play softer or anywhere on the strings. Too bad multiverse travelling is not a thing
