So, I ran into my first *** experience on Reverb.com. I use the sight alot and have had nothing but great experiences... until now. It all started because I had the nerve to ask if a Local Pickup seller would consider shipping... that' I'd pay for. After a few days I received a response to which I politely messaged "I really appreciate your response. I was actually able to score one used from Guitar Center, and it shipped in a day. Unfortunately, the Corvette bass just doesn't jive with me so I'm going to return. I do appreciate your timely response. If anything changes, I'll certainly be in touch." Well, for some reason this just set him off and I received a number of nasty, even threatening messages! He even sent me an "offer" of $100 which he asked me to pay him for wasting his time! hahahaha. I'll leave the screenshots below for your enjoyment.

But seriously, what in the hell is wrong with some people??

Yeah! WOW! Coo-coo clock is reading the correct time, twice a day.
He had me at, “I’m sitting in my amp room closet, all lonely.”

It takes two to have an argument, but only one to end it.
I would have just stopped responding after the first sign of him being off the rails.
You were trying to have a rational conversation with an irrational person.

Good thing you didn’t buy from him.
He might just be countin’ flowers on the closet wall in his gun room.

So I should not use Google search to find out what that is?

Curious, I checked...

... Thai to English translation...

... derpt equates to penpal, depending on the context...

I think he was angry, typing so fast... his autocorrect must have been off, too... by all counts, he was referring to the OP as...

... underpants... which is about as low as one can go.

IMHO, you should have stopped responding to the seller when he sent you the offer to pay for his time. You might have even reported the action to Reverb. Feeding trolls usually doesn't turn out well.

My thought exactly. As soon as his crazy came out, ignoring him, rather than engaging him, may have been the best course.

Life is too short for that excrement.
