After playing pretty heavily from about 1995-2003, I had a couple kids and took a hiatus from playing. And actually had lost interest until an opportunity came up recently to start playing with an established band in Charlotte, NC called Rando Tribe. We do sort of a fusion of reggae, rock.
I'm currently using the following gear, for the sole purpose of getting the best sound out of a very light and portable rig:
GB Shuttle 9.2
Hartke HyDrive 115
Hartke HyDrive 112
Fender Jazz upgraded with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups.
I actually have a gig bag that can carry my Shuttle, bass and cables, meaning I can push 500W carrying just 2 items. Lovin that!
